FLOW & RESTORE

Wind up your day with a feel good and well rounded practice with a soothing balance of dynamic flow and alignment based movements, breath and restorative work.  This class is designed to cultivate ease with mindful movements after a day’s work and help you unwind.  No need to sign up in advance. Just come to class.

Rise and shine with this energizing vinyasa flow designed to improve your overall fitness by cultivating heat through invigorating physical movements and breath work.  This class ends with healing stretches and relaxation that will help your mind and body ready for the day. No need to sign up in advance. Just come to class.

VIBE & FLOW

Wednesdays 9:30-10:30AM

Vibe Yoga Room, Tinley Park, IL


Classic, one breath per movement vinyasa. You may experience some holding of postures. Expect to be challenged with forward and back bending, inversions, twists and balancing postures. This class is fully or mostly guided and modifications will be given liberally. Modifications given for beginners- to make it attainable, intermediate-to challenge but keep it attainable, and advanced- very challenging taking you to your edge. All levels. Room is heated 78-83 degrees.

If you can breathe, you can do yoga.  This class combines postures with conscious breathing and focuses in developing strength, flexibility, mental clarity and relaxation. Students can expect to develop body awareness and explore varied postures in a mixed-level environment.  You will leave the class feeling relaxed and stress free.  This class is appropriate for ALL levels.

 

Class size is limited to 25 to ensure individual attention and this class usually fills up quick. You can register to reserve your spot in the class by calling 708-390-2343 or by signing up at the Reception Desk.

ASHTANGA FUNDAMENTALS

The Sanskrit word Ashtanga translates into 'eight limbs' in English. One of the eight limbs is the practice of Asana (physical poses).

 

The asanas performed in Ashtanga Yoga vary from simple to complex, and are particularly useful for strengthening the muscles (especially the core muscles) and for increasing flexibility and stamina. The asanas themselves are predetermined and executed in the same order during each practice. Each asana sequence flows into the next, and the order is as important as how you're breathing and holding each pose. The physical exertion purifies the physical body while the breathing techniques help to quiet the mind and increase awareness.

 

This 1-hour class offers a safe introduction to the Ashtanga Vinyasa method of yoga. We will be moving through a modified (half) Primary Series where you will build the strength and confidence necessary to move into more advanced poses with practice. For students already familar with the Primary Series this class offers a nice review.
